technical woes

Took Sonar out for a spin today. The feature set has grown quite a bit since my days with that program. I haven't quite got it processing audio without clipping all the time and driving my CPU usage through the roof. I'm hoping/praying I can make that happen cos the UI is by far the most comfortable. I'm going to look through Cubase and might POSSIBLY even hang onto Live (although not likely).

In short, it's all babysteps.

Adam:

Live is great if you plan on doing loop-focused songwriting but otherwise I'd totally stick with Cubase. Best supported and most intuitive interface out there. Plus, I can maybe help you from time to time. ;)

This is good news....

You are right on your pre-assessment of Live. Probably not for you. I prefer Cubase but if you're comfortable with Sonar... do it! I want to hear some music...
