Everything about this article makes me wish somebody would stab me with a fucking brick.

Not that I care about what mainstream America thinks about music...but if this isn't irrefutable proof that what's popular doesn't translate to what's good, then I don't know what is

To be fair, David Bowie, Tom Waits or Drive By Truckers didn't put out albums this year
