Am holed up in Dekalb at the Holiday Inn Express still and the History Channel has a documentary on about the history of LSD (yep, we took that from the Native Americans too). Tomorrow I have one event and a relay.
Unfortunately today wasn't a great day swim-wise for me. Probably didn't help that the food I had in me coming into today wasn't 'championship material' (does Hooters count?). As a result, I was about a second slower in the 100fly than I was last year and didn't really improve on anything from last year. Bummer, but I know what I need to do next time.
Tomorrow should be better though. I'll get more sleep because I don't have to be there so early, and the event I'm swimming isn't one I've done in awhile. It'll be cool to get a time down for it. The relay is a mixed thing so it's sort of a 'do for fun' thing.
One guy on our team did manage to set the Illinois state record for one event. He was all shaved 'n tapered (not to mention a couple years younger than me and a former NCAA champion).
So the plan tomorrow is to head over to the pool roundabouts 9:45 or so, get sorted for the relay and then head home hopefully around 5. Then I'll set about to getting that Windsor assembled. Wheee!
